Partnering with local schools
At School Kitchen, we partner with local schools to take over their kitchens on evenings and
weekends when the schools aren’t using them. We then run home delivery takeaway restaurants
from the kitchens, with the school receiving a share of all revenue generated.
This means that every order placed helps to fund extra teachers and equipment for schools.
Generating extra funding for schools.:
Creating Community:
- Run free cookery demonstrations/classes for pupils
- Run an apprenticeship scheme for recent school leavers in the area
- Ensure all staff (chefs, delivery riders, etc.) are fairly employed, with no zero hours contracts and no commission-only earnings
- Fund free meals for disadvantaged pupils through local and international charities
